Lyme Regis is an historic and unspoilt seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb Harbour. With breathtaking scenery, it is surrounded by beautiful and interesting coastlines and peaceful and charming countryside. In fact, the coastline is now classed as a World Heritage Site because of the outstanding earth science interest.
The town today is an attraction for tourists because of its unique charm. Broad Street, the main street, slopes down to the sea and offers an eclectic mix of shops, pubs and hotels with something for everyone.
In the past it was a popular resort frequented by writers and poets; Turner and Whistler painted here and Jane Austen wrote her novel “Pursuasion” after visiting in 1803-4.

‘My mum went into Lyme Regis initially for respite last September and is now a permanent resident. I knew the moment I walked in that I had found the perfect place for her as all the staff were so welcoming. I cannot fault the care my mum has had since moving in and I know she now sees it as her home. I would highly recommend this care home’.
‘Prior to my uncle’s eventual arrival 10 weeks ago, the management of the home were superb in their support for us during a difficult time and arranging the transport from a hospital a few counties away. Thanks to the staff he has settled in well and we are pleased our initial very good impressions of the home have been borne out’.
