Palace House Care Home

  • Palace House Care Home is an historic Georgian building, carefully converted into a care home. The home provides a high standard of care for general nursing and residential care, respite care and care for young physically disabled people.

Palace House Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the small town of Padiham, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the M65 motorway. Specifically the town centre is only 2 miles away.

Palace House strives to ensure that residents enjoy their stay and are comfortable whilst having a life enhancing experience. The team spend time with the residents and there families planning the care they require and ensuring that they actively involve everybody in the care process.

A recent inspection stated that ‘people using this service can experience excellent quality whilst residents have confidence within the home’. Our person centred approach means that each resident is an individual treated with respect and dignity. Each resident has a named key worker and an individual care plan. This will cover their personal and medical history, as well as a record of particular activities they enjoy and any cultural or religious aspects of their care.

Palace House is set in its own grounds with landscaped gardens and patio areas where residents can sit out in the warm weather. The home is maintained to a high standard and has excellent facilities and attractive gardens. The home is well decorated and has a homely, comfortable ambience. There are bright, spacious lounges with a built in home entertainment system.

There are also a number of comfortable, quiet lounges. The accommodation provides residents with a choice of environments in which to relax or meet friends and relatives. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms. Many of the bedrooms have en suite facilities and most rooms have open garden views.

We have a communal dining room where our chef Chef provides nutritionally balanced menus that are carefully prepared to ensure the best combination of nutrition and flavour for our residents.

We encourage residents to follow hobbies and interests; however there is no pressure and each person is treated as an individual. Family and friends are welcome to visit any time. Residents are free to enjoy the activities of the day or just enjoy a relaxing time watching TV or enjoying a chat over a cup of tea. Activities include arts and crafts, baking, cream teas and gardening.
